Blocking can be very difficult for our mental health and well-being, especially since it often doesn’t seem like the end is in sight. Maybe you don’t have enough ideas to occupy you, so here are some of our favorite activities at home to get rid of stress, take care of ourselves or just make better use of our time!
Pamper yourself with a soothing bath
Bring a bath, light a candle and drop your favorite bath sweets and allow yourself to relax. With winter coolness, a hot soothing bath is the perfect way to get rid of stress and help wash away worries.
Clean up your space
Neat space, neat mind! Locking is the perfect time to clean your closet and get rid of a shirt you haven’t worn in years. Dissolve your home and give yourself more space to relax. Create your own indoor oasis

Get a cookbook and cook something you haven’t cooked before, or find a new recipe online to try! Go beyond the cooking comfort zone and experiment in your kitchen.
Learn a new language
With all this new free time why not teach yourself the language you’ve always wanted to learn, and maybe when we’re finally able to travel, you’ll be able to use these new skills to your advantage! Bubbel and Duolingo great programs are available that make it easy to learn a new language!
Take a walk in nature
Absorbing nature is a great way to relieve stress and the best way to get out of these 4 walls while blocking! Rain or radiance while enjoying the environment and Mother Earth is a way to give yourself some time to breathe. Try to find places nearby with large spaces so you can socially distance yourself or visit an area that is likely to be more secluded, such as quiet beaches or parks.
Spend the day offline
Constant reading of the news and endless time on social media can cause us more stress and anxiety. Why not set aside a day to turn off your devices and spend your day living the moment.
Have a party with friends
Tired of watching TV and movies alone at home? Why not set up a party clock and enjoy it with friends instead!
There is nothing more perfect than freshly baked cookies on a winter day! Gather the ingredients for your favorite cookie or pie recipe and start baking, it’s a great stress reliever.
Learn a new skill
Ever wanted to master a skill but didn’t have enough time? Locking is the perfect opportunity! Whether it’s studying the piano, checking your green thumb or learning to sew, why not give it a try.
Inhale, exhale … Meditation is a really great way to relax physically and mentally. Take a few minutes out of the day to sit in a quiet place, clear your mind and practice mindfulness. Headspace this is a great resource to help you meditate.
Spend the day relaxing with a book
Take a favorite book or a book you’ve never read before and read on. Get lost in your book, relax and spend some time reading.
