Disability Sports Australia (DSA) received $ 3.4 million in funding over the next four years as part of federal government work to provide more sports and leisure opportunities for Australians living with disabilities.
The announcement underscores the Labor Party’s continued commitment to improving the lives of all Australians by creating more opportunities for sport and recreation for people with disabilities.
DSA’s “Changing Life through Sport” aims to provide the Australian community with additional opportunities, choices and introductory pathways to participate in a wide variety of sports and leisure activities.
Labor’s commitment will give a huge boost to the opportunities available in the sports sector for the disabled, with investments focused on: a range of multisport programs for children with disabilities, a sports advisory service for the disabled, and the deployment of a youth ambassador across the country. programs, as well as an application to host the 2022 World Cerebral Palsy Games.
