The female bongo antelope, born on Thursday, September 8, was playfully exploring her enclosure, the Jacksonville Zoo in Florida said. This video, released by the zoo on Wednesday, September 14, shows the resilient calf exploring its habitat. The young calf shows a special interest in the yellow-backed duiker, a fellow African lowland forest animal with which the eastern bongos live in the same enclosure, according to the zoo. The zoo said the “calf is doing well” and is “learning to be adventurous, exploring outside the barn and braving short sprints away from mom.” Credit: Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens via Storyful
