A dramatic vision when the police start dispersing against criminal gangs

Police arrested seven people and confiscated three firearms during morning raids in and around Sydney on Tuesday amid wider crackdown on criminal groups.

The raids were part of the Erebus task force, which was formed earlier this week in response to a series of killings and violence that “hit” southwest Sydney.

According to New Wales Police Commissioner Karen Webb, all those arrested are allegedly members or allies of outlaw gangs.

Police have arrested a 31-year-old member of the Finks bike group on property in Scofield for his alleged role in shooting a man in northwest Sydney earlier this month.

The man is believed to have been killed in both legs and found at a home in Londonderry last Tuesday, leading to an extensive police search that revealed a charged 9mm pistol.

Police say the 31-year-old Finks member was involved in the shooting, accusing him of a number of crimes, including firearms with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm and breakthrough with particular difficulty.

A 26-year-old man who is a sergeant in the arms of the South Coast branch of a gang of motorcycles outside the law of Camanchero, was arrested earlier in the day along with another of the club’s associates.

They are accused of supplying more than two kilograms of MDMA and more than 700 grams of cocaine with the help of the FBI Trojan horse “ANOM” from September 2020 to June 2021.

Three men aged 26, 23 and 32 and a 21-year-old woman were arrested in western Sydney near Blacktown and charged with various counts of fraud and firearms.

Police confiscated a gun and a 9mm Glock pistol during a subsequent search of a house in Blacklands Ridge near Richmond.

Deputy Prime Minister and Police Minister Paul Tull warned the criminal groups that the campaign against them had just begun.

“These arrests are just the tip of the iceberg. The police will be in their faces, disrupting their lives every second of the day, ”Mr Tull said.

“Make no mistake; these are not ordinary people living ordinary lives. They are cruel criminals and deserve to be imprisoned. “
