A 35-year-old man was taken to hospital in critical condition after a two-vehicle crash near Springfield early Saturday morning.
The initial police investigation revealed that the driver of the Audi, which was westbound on the Southern Cross Circuit at Springfield Central, lost control of the vehicle around 2:18 a.m. between Sirius Drive and Main Street.
Three people were taken to the hospital after a crash in Springfield Friday night.
The police report that the car crossed into the oncoming lane and collided with a Kia car traveling in the same direction.
The 35-year-old driver of the Kia was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition, while the 23-year-old driver and female passenger of the Audi were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The Queensland Police Forensic Science Unit is investigating.
In a separate incident at The Gap, three people were taken to the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital after a three-car collision on Friday night.
The crash on the corner of Waterworks and Payne roads happened at 8.25pm, according to Queensland Ambulance Service.
Police said Saturday morning that only one of the three remained in hospital with minor injuries.
