RSA courses, which are available through TAFE NSW and other registered training organizations, can be taken in less than a day both online and in person.
Former hospitality workers are also encouraged to return to the sector – anyone whose RSA competency card has expired in the last two years or expires by June 30 can take a free RSA training course.
Skills and Training Minister Alistair Henskens said thousands of people took the opportunity to qualify for the RSA when the first round of courses was offered in early February.
“These RSA courses have been more popular than a happy hour at your local pub or club, and we are now shouting a second round to help thousands more people get jobs,” Mr Henskens said.
“Whether you’re a high school graduate or looking for a career change, now is the perfect time to get a free qualification to enter the dynamic hospitality industry.”
