The musician brings a new record of Griffith From 20:00 on Friday evening veteran bluesman Diesel revives his latest album Alone With Blues on the stage of the Griffith Regional Theater. The musician, an ARIA Award winner, has recorded and played every part of his latest album, which evokes memories of his friend Chris Wilson, his partner on the album Short Cool Ones. Tickets cost $ 70. A new light that will illuminate the fresh works of Light Up the Lane, combining art, music, performers and food for the Banna Lane Festival. Stickie Fingers, Dookie and Shane, Murrumbidgee Jazz Collective, Jacinta Simpson and Ben Kerfi are some of the performers as well as children’s activities. It starts at 5pm with a welcome to the country near the GB Sports car park on Saturday. Jasmine Jade’s weekend nightlife is performed at the Sporties Club from 7pm on Friday. The Southside Leagues Club hosts Max and Charlie Jones from 8pm on Saturday. Joseph Sergi takes the stage at the Griffith Exies Club on Saturday at 7.30pm. Cold cowboys will take the mic at the Victoria Hotel from 8pm on Saturday. Side Effect with the support of DJ Rossi will entertain at the Area Hotel from 22:00 on Saturday. On Sundays Max Jones eases you a week at 2pm in the Area Hotel’s beer garden. Parkrun at Ted Scobie Oval Parkrun at Griffith is a free, weekly, five-mile event held every Saturday morning at Ted Scobie Oval. Anyone can walk, run, run or volunteer. More information is available at www.parkrun.com.au/tedscobieoval. Fresh food, handicrafts and more at the Griffith Rotary Showgrounds markets are open from 7.30am to noon on Sundays at the Griffith Showgrounds.
