A reminder of how to watch a great game. The broadcast will be broadcast on ITV4, and the broadcast will start at 17.30. Here and – oh, oh, such a time? – a little less than two minutes.
As in the rest of the Women’s Champions League this season, it will also be available for live broadcast on the DAZN YouTube channel. Just in case you are very online and prefer it to watching TV.
Warm-up began, Lyon went out on the field to make the final touches in preparation for the match.
An atmosphere is being created at the Juventus stadium. Barcelona fans greeted the team’s coaches with smoke bombs and a sea of flags, and the stands were gradually filled with fans.

Speaking of pre-match interviews, Susan Rec spoke to Catherine Macario of Lyon. Tonight, the American faces the unenviable task of unblocking the defense of Barcelona.
Will Magee is here, temporarily replacing Rob Smith. If you’re looking for pre-match reading, why not watch Emma Kemp’s interview with Eli Carpenter? Tonight she starts as Lyon’s right defender.

Susan Reck Match Preview
Preamble
Hello and welcome to the live broadcast of the Champions League final between Barcelona and Lyon in Turin. The best sport – really, really, indeed good stuff – no need to rush or rage. This game can be summarized in less than 50 characters, not to mention 140: reigning champions against longtime champions.
Lyon have won this tournament a record seven times, including five in a row in the 2016-20 season. But last year Barcelona changed them and come out tonight as very strong favorites. Their record in all competitions this season in the field of fantasy football: P44 W43 D0 L1 F210 A19.
Let me stop you there. Could you go back and look at these numbers again: 44 games, 43 wins, TWO HUNDRED TEN HEADS! Their team includes Alexia Putelas, the best player in the world, as well as Jenny Hermas, Caroline Hansen, Aitan Bonmatti and many other stars. When our expert group voted for the 100 best footballers in the world at the end of last year, six of the top 10 were Barcelona players.
This time last year they cut Chelsea in the final in Gothenburg, scoring all four goals in the first 36 minutes, and the first task of “Lyon” – to pass the first 10 minutes without injury.
Part of Barcelona’s (drink!) Way to the top was Lyon’s 4-1 victory in the 2019 final. They fell victim to an even faster start that night, with all four goals scored in the first half hour. This included a hat-trick from the great Ada Hegerberg, whose presence tonight could give the Barcelona defense a hibi-jibi.
A Barcelona victory would complete their path (drink!) From contenders to undisputed champions. In one fell swoop they can put 2019 to bed, save the Champions League, beat Lyon for the first time in their history and prove beyond a reasonable doubt that they are the best team in the world.
Lyon would like to make the picture much more blurry. If they win, last season may be rejected as a one-off rather than as a change of worth. But at the moment Lyon is in an unusual position, starting with the outsider. They are in the process of recovering from the deplorable 2020-21 season, in which Paris Saint-Germain ended their long reigns as champions of France and Europe (14 and five years respectively). Hegerberg missed the entire season due to a PKS injury, so you could tell when Lyon put an asterisk against their shortcomings.
Lyon took revenge, beating PSG in this year’s Champions League semi-final, and will regain the title of French champion with a game in reserve, if he avoids defeat in Paris next weekend. It is too early to say that they have returned to the best, but they have at least returned to where they belong – in the Champions League final.
Reset 18:00.
