Caprice Resources (CRS) has commenced the next drilling program at the Solis prospect at its Island gold project in Western Australia.

This Reverse Circulation (RC) program follows a the first RC drilling program in Solis back in July.

July program came back a best intercept of four meters at 4.4 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 60 metres, including one meter at 11 g/t gold from 63 metres.

Further drilling will include 10 to 13 drill holes to test the mineralization at depth and along length, with a particular focus on several high-magnesium basaltic blocks containing highlighted results from the initial program.

Caprice managing director Andrew Muir said the next program would test the extent of mineralization at the high-magnesium basaltic contact.

“This will be the fourth drill program at Solis and in each program we have intersected gold mineralization,” Mr Muir said.

“Given that Solis has never been drilled before this year, this is a great result for a new field.”

Caprice expects the program to take eight to ten days, with tests likely to arrive in four to six weeks.

CRS shares were trading at 5.2 cents at 2:44 PM EST.
