Chris Hemsworth is easily one of the cutest figures in Hollywood – he’s just like that.
The Australian actor is best known for his role as the heroic (and very beautiful) Thor in the Marvel cinematic universe.
He defeats evil, his mighty hammer Buraboy in his hand.
And he will do it again in July, when the fourth part will appear Thor the franchise hits theaters.
But before that Hemsworth fans will watch as he enters Fr. different role.
This time you may not care for him.
From a hero to … a mysterious seer
Hemsworth in the lead role Spider, based on The New Yorker story, Escape from Spiderhead, George Saunders.
Describes Netflix as a “darkly funny psychological thriller,” Spider boasts an impressive cast and crew.
Jozef Kasinski (Top Gun: Maverick) is named after a screenplay written by Rhett Rice and Paul Wernicke (Deadpool, Zombieland).
The synopsis is as follows: in a modern penitentiary run by the ingenious visionary Stephen Abnesti (Hemsworth), prisoners wear a surgically-equipped device that administers doses of mind-altering drugs in exchange for shortening sentences.
“There are no bars, no cages, no orange overalls. At Spiderhead, inmate volunteers are free to be themselves. They are not there yet, ”the summary reads.
Enclose is convinced that his experiments will save lives, but instead they seem to push the boundaries of free will.
When two subjects, Jeff (Miles Teller) and Lizzie (Jrni Smolet), form a romantic bond, their path to redemption takes a turning point.
They begin to rebel against Abnesti and his attempts to control them.
Hemsworth is alarmingly charming in the trailer for Spider, knows about his appearance and how to use them to his advantage.
“Too many people get away with it,” says his character, watching the prisoner, a drug prisoner, “and I say he benefited from time to time.”
Disappeared Thor an accent to which we are accustomed. Instead, Hemsworth speaks American, proving that he is more than just a god of thunder.
And back to being a hero
Playing the Bad Guy is not new to Hemsworth, who starred as the troubled cult leader in 2018 Bad times in El Royale.
But he is often called a hero.
On July 6, Marvel fans will fill cinemas to watch Thor: Love and Thunder, directed by Tyco Wojciech.
In the fourth part of the franchise, Thor seeks inner peace. But his departure from beating the bad guys is interrupted by Gore-God Butcher (Christian Bale), who, as his name suggests, wants to rid the universe of gods.
Preferring not to die, Thor turns for help to the Valkyries (Tessa Thompson), Corgo (Waiti) and his ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who now inexplicably possesses her magic hammer Mjolnir in the role of the Mighty Thor.
But wait some more, because the last few years Hemsworth has been a busy man.
In March, the actor completed production Extraction 2, an extremely successful action movie from director and stunt coordinator Sam Hargrave.
The film became an unexpected hit for Netflix in 2020, and soon the streaming giant raised a thumb for a sequel about Tyler Rake (Hemsworth), a mercenary on the black market.
In a video in which he is surrounded by the actors and film crew of the film, including director Hargreave, Hemsworth thanked them for making such a complex film full of intense tricks.
“I remember the first couple of days of filming, sitting in a train – snow, weather – trying to land a helicopter on a moving train, and I thought, ‘How the hell are we going to do this?'” Hemsworth said.
“And so in four or five months we did this and much, much more. This is a thank you to each of you, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the hard work. ”
Netflix has not yet announced the official release date of the sequel, but the premiere is expected to take place later this year.
And if Hemsworth isn’t trying to land a helicopter on a moving train, it’s sparking interest in his Centr fitness app.
The actor created Centr in 2019 with a vision to share his experiences of health, well-being and fitness with the wider community.
The app gives users access to Hemsworth’s team of experts, offering individual workouts and nutrition plans.
In late March, he announced that he had sold his program to Mark Bezas, the younger brother of Jeff Bezas, whose company HighPost also acquired Inspire Fitness, a maker of exercise equipment.
The plan is to merge the two brands, which would increase its total value to more than $ 200 million ($ 285,459,400).
According to BloombergHemsworth is the second largest shareholder after HighPost.
The God of Thunder certainly makes a lot of noise.
