Abby Chatfield, a radio and television presenter, posted a photo in which she and her friends raise their middle fingers to a picture on a mobile phone in which Mr. Morrison is giving his inaugural speech.
“Goodbye, baby !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” she wrote. “I hope you know that everyone at this club was happy when I told them you lost.”
In a series of stories on Instagram, she showed off to her friends who were celebrating Mr. Morrison’s loss at the bar.
Earlier, the 26-year-old said that young people who intend to vote for Scott Morrison must “lack empathy” or education.
“I really think or hope that in the next 10-15 years, when people who vote for the Liberal Party are literally dying out, and metaphorically dying out as they think, I really think that eventually our two-party system will become the Greens [on] the left and then Labor will be more like the way we see liberals now, ”she wrote.
British chef Nigel Lawson, who is currently touring, wrote on Twitter: “What a night to be in Australia!”
Author and social commentator Jane Caro said Anthony Albanese’s victory was a women’s victory.
“I said from day one that women would bring this election home, and they did,” she wrote.
Mr Albanese was also congratulated by the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson.
“Congratulations on your election as Prime Minister of Australia,” wrote the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
“I look forward to working with you as we reap the benefits of our comprehensive free trade agreement, the AUKUS partnership and the unmatched closeness between the British and Australian people.”
Mr. Morrison, meanwhile, was fried on a popular American night talk show as the Australians accepted the election.
In the opening segment of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where Colbert shares news in comedic form, he targeted Mr. Morrison – hours before polls closed.
“Since Morrison was elected, the Prime Minister of Australia has pursued scandals ranging from accusations of racism to his friendship with the famous conspiracy theorist QAnon,” Colbert was quoted as saying by Australian media.
“It’s not good – of course, the bottom of the reputation of politicians is fleeing counterclockwise.”
