The Daily Telegraph reported that Mr Grant told a colleague that in the event of a defeat in Orange he would be under pressure to resign and that “I need to think about it”.
Due to the fact that the ban on greyhound races and the scandal with chemotherapy at Orange Hospital have become big problems before the election, Mr. Grant denied these reports.
“I did not tell anyone that I would resign if we lost the Orange,” he said in Sydney on Tuesday.
He said he was focused on his work, not the “killer”.
“I’m focused on the community, and I know the community doesn’t want us to focus on ourselves, and I’m not going to start that now,” he said.
