It’s time to get involved with NSW Small Business Month

NSW Small Business Month kicks off today and the government is inviting small business owners to come together and join 100 events across the state.

Customer Services and Small Business Minister Victor Daminello said small business owners could learn new skills and hone their strategies for success by taking part in any of the many events on offer across New South Wales.

“Small Business Month brings together small businesses across the state to learn, collaborate and celebrate the experiences and knowledge of our 800,000 small businesses in NSW,” said Daminello.

“I encourage all small businesses or those interested in starting a business to get involved and take part in one of the many events being held this month.”


Connect for small business success

The theme for this year’s NSW Small Business Month is this Connect for successand NSW Small Business Commissioner Chris Lamont said the festival of all things business provides business owners with a great opportunity to engage with industry experts and leaders.

“More than 340 events designed for small businesses are held during the month. From Internet Marketing Tips, mental form supporthelping young entrepreneurs with information on pricing strategies, there are literally hundreds of options and I invite all small businesses in New South Wales to attend this exciting festival of events,” Lamont said.

Many events and workshops will be free to attend thanks to funding from local councils and the state government.

Small business owners in New South Wales employ more than 1.8 million people and add more than $400 billion to the economy each year.
