A teenager accused of killing a boy during a botched drug deal remains in hospital two days after he was allegedly attacked in a Western Australian prison.
Jaden Martinovich — the son of former TV star Kelly Martinovich — was reportedly attacked by an inmate at Hakea Prison, where he was being held for fatally wounding a 17-year-old boy in August.
Mr Martinovich, 18, was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital on Friday afternoon and was listed in a stable condition on Sunday.
Police say the 17-year-old boy was stabbed in the chest on Bourke Street in North Perth about 9.30pm on August 27 and died on September 2.
At first, Martynovich was accused of causing grievous bodily harm, but later the charge was changed to murder.
Earlier, his lawyer stated in court that Martynovich pleaded not guilty.
Mr. Martynowicz is due back in court in November.
His mother starred in the popular television aerobics show Oz Style in the 1980s and 1990s.
There is no suggestion that Ms Martynowicz is involved in the alleged crime.
She is now the owner and director of Shredded Health and Performance Gym.
