It looks like the worst of the weather in the wild is over – for now – as fans head back to Mt Panorama for the final day of the Bathurst 1000.
Heavy rain hampered proceedings on Saturday afternoon as races were canceled due to dangerous track conditions, including a top-10 shootout.
This is the first time since the introduction of the shootout in 1978 that it has not gone ahead.
However, it looks like wet fans will be better off on Sunday if the showers ease. Bathurst is expected to have a cloudy morning with sunny spells in the afternoon.
There is a high chance of showers on and east of the ridges, but there is a 40 per cent chance of showers elsewhere, the Bureau of Meteorology said.
However, it looks like the low pressure system could give drivers another wild card with a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon or early evening.
