Liverpool condemn ‘vile chants’ and graffiti in away section at Anfield | Liverpool

Liverpool condemned the travel section Manchester City support for “vile” taunts during a game between clubs on Sunday.

Around 13, two chants were clearly heard from the visitors’ enclosurethousand minutes, and they were linked to the Hazel and Hillsborough disasters. The home fans greeted them with boos and a scathing statement from Liverpool after the game.

“We are deeply disappointed to hear vile chants relating to football stadium tragedies from the away section during tonight’s game at Anfield,” the club said. “The hall in the guest section was also defaced with graffiti of a similar nature.

“We know the impact this kind of behavior has on families, survivors and everyone involved in such disasters. We are working with the relevant authorities as well as Manchester City to do everything we can to ensure that these chants are completely eradicated from football.”
