The woman was taken to hospital after a suspected acid attack in Sydney at night.
NSW police are investigating an attack in which a 32-year-old woman suffered facial injuries.
Emergency services were called to the Haymarket restaurant at 11.15pm on Friday night after the woman sought refuge inside.
Police said the woman was standing on Dixon Street when a black hatchback pulled up in front of her.
Three masked men came out and threw in the woman’s face what was supposed to be acid before they got back in the car and fled.
The crime scene was established, HAZMAT fire brigades assessed the substance.
Police urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers and detectives to contact the media later Saturday morning.
