Mbape thanks Real Madrid after choosing PSG

Mbape for a long time seemed to leave PSG at the end of the contract and sign for Madrid fans, but eventually decided to avoid the club of his childhood dream.

This season, the World Cup winner, with 28 goals and 17 assists, has led in both League 1 charts, with his 45 goals scored on average every 67 minutes, the most in Europe’s top five leagues.

However, these talents will not manifest themselves in the colors of Madrid.

In his Twitter message, Mbape thanked Madrid and their president, Florentino Perez, and said he would remain a supporter of the Spanish giant.

“Today I wanted to announce that I have decided to extend my contract with Paris Saint-Germain,” he wrote.

“I am convinced that I can continue to grow here in a club that is doing its best to reach the top.

“I would like to thank President Nasser Al-Khelaifi for his trust, attention and patience.

“I also have an opinion of all PSG supporters in France and around the world for their countless displays of commitment, especially in the last few months.

“I am very happy to continue playing in France, the country where I was born, raised and flourished.”

Mbape said: “I would also like to sincerely thank Real Madrid and their president Florentino Perez. I am aware of the chance and privilege I had when I wanted to be such institutions.

“I can imagine their disappointment. It’s as big as my own fluctuations.

“I will be their biggest fan in the Champions League final in Paris. I have at home.”

Mbape is scheduled to meet with the media on Monday to further discuss his decision to stay at PSG.
