The multiculturalism that underpins the Griffith community was showcased at a Harmony Day 2022 concert at Marrambidja Regional High School (MRHS). The festivities, represented by traditional dances, songs, clothing, performances, dishes, language and more, reflected the rich cultural fabric that connects the school and the wider community. MRHS Director David Creley said the Harmony Day celebration at the school was a true reflection and mirror of society at large. “The school really represents the Griffith community in all aspects, we are very proud of our multiculturalism and that we are here for everyone,” Mr Creley said. “Harmony Day is one of the biggest days of the year, and it is extremely important for us to emphasize the cultural diversity that is present without our school and in Griffith.” Locals, preschoolers and elementary students come to this day, celebrating the diversity that makes Griffith so unique.
