The 49th annual Village Halloween Parade returned to New York City on the evening of Monday, October 31, bringing music, dancing and a mix of spooky and colorful costumes to the crowds lining Sixth Avenue. Led by the Brooklyn United Marching Band and marshal, the parade traveled down Sixth Avenue from Canal Street through SoHo and into Greenwich Village, officially ending at the corner of West 15th Street. New Yorker Deborah Domas, who snapped the footage as she and friends watched the parade from a rooftop in Soho, said it was another welcome reminder that the city is getting back on its feet after the COVID-19 pandemic. “This Halloween parade was so fun and a great reminder that New York is not dead, despite all the undead in the parade,” she joked.
