Maroon legend Corey Parker has chosen his Queensland team to return the Origin shield to the NSW Blues in the next couple of months.
Parker has selected three debutants, including 19-year-old sensational Broncos Selwyn Kobe in the formidable trio.
“I have outlined a side that I think can do the job against NSW,” Parker said on NRL 360.

“Most players choose themselves in good shape. I went to the backs of Pong, Coates, Gagai, Holmes and the great for me Salvin Kobe.
“Based on what we’ve seen from Kobe this year, I’m not talking about bright things. I’m talking about things that come from your own rear.
“That real aggression and messy style that makes up 90 percent of Origin for outside defenders is coming out of your own end. He does it wonderfully. ”
Kobe is no guarantee to make the team, given the lack of experience, but Parker knows what Queensland coach Billy Slater is looking for, and the young winger suits everyone.

“He’s not a beginner, but based on what we’ve seen, he’s certainly on the run,” Parker said of Kobe.
“These are bright things and this is what he can do, and at some point in the Origin arena there may be an opportunity to come up with one of these plays.
“But the little plays really impressed me and I know Billy Slater well. I played a lot of football with him and he will look at small plots.
“The origins come down to these small areas. Comes to those moments. It comes down to this competitiveness. And he showed it more than once.
“He has played 10 games this season and he is the top scorer in the Broncos and I expect him to be on the sidelines.”

Parker is stuck with most of the current halves and starting forwards, with the exception of another debutant in Patrick Kerrigan at the castle.
“Cherry Evans will be a midfielder with Munster at five-eighths,” Parker said.
“Josh Papali and Harry Grant. I put Tino Fa’asuamaleaui ahead.
“Kaufusi and Kurt Capewell are in the second row. I put Pat Kerrigan to make his debut in the castle position based on his form in the Broncos and the fact that he has the ability to play very long minutes, which is a small bonus. ”
Parker’s bench consisted of current executives Ben Hunt and Tom Flagler, as well as another Cowboys debutant, Ruben Cotter.

“Ben Hunt is on the bench and Ruben Cotter is second,” Parker said.
“I really enjoyed what I saw in Ruben Cotter this year. The origin is based on moments. It is based on competitiveness. It’s based on your ability to appear when you don’t want to, at different stages, and I think he’s done it over and over again.
“He played in the forwards, in the front row, on the hooker. He can play absolutely anywhere.
“The other two players on the bench are Jay Arrow and Tom Flagler in uniform. I think Flegler was great for the Broncos off the bench. He made a real difference in that range of 40 to 50 minutes.
“For my 18th and 19th men, I named Lindsay Collins and Bo Fermar.”
