On the morning of March 18, when police are investigating possible causes, several cars were set on fire. The 2017 Mazda sedan and the 2018 white Toyota Hilux were parked at the entrance to the apartment on Faith Street when the owners woke up just before 3am from a hard hit. The owners saw that both cars were well tanned, and called the emergency services. Police arrived at the scene, but both cars were completely destroyed. However, no one was injured in the fire. Police are now investigating the cause of the fire and are urging anyone with information to report it. Police are also asking for any CCTV footage from a nearby area to help with the investigation. Police also got into an accident at work at 6:30 a.m. on March 21 after a 30-year-old man received severe chemical burns. The man worked on a farm in Benerembe, spraying chemicals on crops. Police say the man turned on the tap and the chemical leaked under high pressure. The man was hit in the chest by spraying and he immediately took measures by chemical washing. In an NSW ambulance he was taken to Griffith Base Hospital for treatment. Police in conjunction with SafeWork NSW are conducting an investigation.
