The Furies as The Crown bosses plan to recreate the death of Princess Diana in Paris

Netflix’s royal drama The Crown sparked further outrage when the popular show announced plans to recreate Princess Diana’s tragic final moments in Paris.

The move has sparked a backlash from crew members who fear “a line has been crossed”, according to reports The sun.

It comes as the series, which stars Australian actress Elizabeth Debicki as Diana, faces growing anger over its wild storylines, with claims of insensitivity so soon after Queen death

The producers have also come under fire for allegedly rushing scenes Prince Philip had an affair with a girlfriend.

But even more vivid and gruesome scenes are currently in the works.

Source from Crown Seth said: “Going back to Paris and turning Diana’s last days and hours into a drama feels very uncomfortable.

“Finally, some crew members reject the ideas presented.

“The show has always sought to present a fictionalized version of the royal story with the utmost sensitivity.

“But recently, as things move closer to modernity, it’s getting harder and harder to find that balance.

“Some of these moments are still so fresh and upsetting, it feels like a line is being crossed.

“Some of the production staff are now starting to talk about their feelings.”

The scenes will focus on Diana’s last ill-fated trip to Paris in 1997 and cover the days and hours before and after fatal car accident in the Alma tunnel.
