The new Chair of the Public Trustee Board of Tasmania

The Tasmanian Government has appointed Theresa Taylor as Chair of the Public Trustee Board.

Taylor, who served as interim chair since May 2022, has been a director of the Public Trustee Board since November 2020. She also served as CEO of Colony 47 public housing for 10 years

“Ms. Taylor is well-suited for this role, given her extensive professional experience in a range of leadership positions in the community, public and private sectors, as well as numerous board positions,” said Attorney General and Minister for Justice Elise Archer.

“As Chair, Ms Taylor will continue to work with the Board and the new CEO to lead on the implementation of the recommendations of the independent review conducted by Damian Baugh QC AM.”

The minister added that as interim chair, Taylor began to transition the Public Trustee to a customer-focused service delivery model.

“I congratulate Ms Taylor on her appointment and look forward to working together to further improve how the Public Trustee delivers important services to the people of Tasmania,” the Minister said.
