A source close to Her Majesty claims the late monarch was hurt and exhausted when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left the royal family in 2020 to start a new life. The sun reports.

They also claim that the Queen was upset that she saw so little of her grandchildren Archie and Lilibeth.
And she was upset that Harry and Meghan didn’t join her at Balmoral for the annual ‘sleepover’ she held for all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Kathy Nicholl’s book also talked about the couple’s awkward encounters with King Charles and Camilla after their departure.
It claims the Duke suggested he and his father use a mediator to try to sort things out.
Apparently, this proposal “confused Charles, and Camilla plopped into the tea.”
The source added: “She told Harry it was ridiculous and that they were a family and would sort it out.”
Meghan and Harry are understood to have returned home to Los Angeles yesterday to be with their children after nearly three weeks abroad.
