Thousands of people gathered in Grozny, Chechnya, on Friday, October 7, to celebrate President Vladimir Putin’s 70th birthday, satellite images taken by Maxar Technologies show. Russian state media reported that the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, was part of a “holiday formation” of more than 20,000 soldiers to honor the president.
