“We Destroy It”: Blue Origin Flight Makes William Shatner “Bored” Earth

Star Trek actor William Shetner says his space trip on a Blue Origin rocket made him “miss” the damage done to Earth.

“You see a tiny rock, I could see the beginning of the curvature of the Earth, I could make a circle and make a circle of the Earth,” he told Sky News Australia presenter Pierce Morgan.

“We are insignificant, this insignificant stone with these insignificant ants on the rock – and yet it is beautiful, and it is our life, and we destroy it.”

Mr Shatner said it became emotional after launch, but did not understand why it was only after it landed that it happened because of what people did to the planet.
